Hello, I'm Alexandre

I'm a software engineer based in France, currently working at Hivebrite. I spend most of my time building backend systems and occasionally contributing to open-source projects.

What I work on

My day-to-day involves designing and maintaining distributed systems at scale. I enjoy tackling problems related to high availability, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems.

I work primarily with Go and Ruby, building services that handle a lot of requests. I'm also passionate about developer experience and internal tooling.

In my free time, I've been exploring the Gleam programming language and contributing to the ecosystem with a few small libraries.

How I work

I love hacking things together. When an idea pops into my head, I jump straight into building a proof of concept to see if it holds up.

This hands-on approach keeps me curious and constantly learning. Whether it's experimenting with a new language, testing an architecture pattern, or automating something tedious, I find the best way to understand something is to build it.
